My Pet Flys wants to show you a few IMPORTANT reasons why you should "Mobile Crate Train" your puppies and any small dogs of any age (A.K.A Pocket Dogs). "Mobile Crate Training" is not only a fun and stylish way to show off your
adorable pocket dog everywhere you go. But more importantly "Mobile Crate
Training" will show you how to "Train and Socialize" your dog to go anywhere
you go and not "pee, poop" unless you have said its ok. And if you " Mobile Crate
Train" as often as possible, my technique will help stop any pocket dog, at any
age from "Barking, yapping, biting, Nipping, Growling, teeth showing, and
Chewing". Let's face it; they give the cute, friendly pocket dogs a bad name!
The main reason Pocket dogs have a high tendency to have bad habits is very
simple... "Insecurity" we are all guilty of over smothering our Pocket Dogs and
intern we pick up our little friends at the wrong times. Without realizing it we
are teaching them to be secure in our arms ONLY! A primary example.......if you
had the Jolly Green giant as your best friend and he carried you everywhere he
went, I'm sure you would have a false sense of security. Let's say he gets a girl
friend and needs to put you down. All of the sudden the world is huge and
anything can hurt you.....I would bark, bite, growl and chew on everything I could
till I was safe and securely tucked away in his arms again.
I have found an easy way to substitute the warm security of your arms into a
warm secure home that is their personal castle!

I came up with the concept of "Mobile Crate Training" when I found myself in
LOVE with little dogs after having small horses I called dogs! I found myself
feeling a lot worse about leaving my small dog at home, much more intensely
than I had with my large dog. I was not about to leave them at home free to do
what they feel. I also didn't want to leave them in a cage for too many hours at a
time. And I knew not all the places I wanted go were conducive for my little
babies to rome free, or even be on a leash! But I wasn't afraid to sneak them in a
bag if they behaved!
I travel a great deal and have had fufu bags that were good enough if they
stayed on my arm the entire time! But I fly, drive, and meet with people all the
time, so I needed a place to set them down without me worrying at all!

I started "Mobile Crate Training" Koa (my tea cup Boston Terrier) at 8 weeks
old and a total weight of 1.1/2 lbs ( the smallest dog I had ever had ) in a "My
Pets Flys" bag so I could just close the door, pick him up and go. I had no idea I
had found the perfect solution for "Training and Socializing" (I have had many
years of experience crate train all size dogs with great success) So taking the idea
out into the world just seemed logical!
It was amazing how much he loved having "a space of his very own". He was
only 3lbs when he was old enough to travel! I was worried it might just terrify
him to live my life style! Boy was I wrong. After about a week I had come up with
a schedule and plan to use "My Pet Flys" bag as his primary crate or" house" at
home and on the road. When Koa was 16 weeks old I came across the perfect
sister for him. But she was also 16 weeks and had lived in a Kennel type
environment her whole life. (The kind kennel that uses shavings that smell like a
hamster....yuck) After I got "Kai" I thought "oopps...two puppies at the same time,
this might undo all my work". And Kennel puppies have no potty manners at all. I
was wrong again. I used the exact same plan on "Kai" as I did on "Koa" in less
than a week I had absolute success! They both use their personal house as their
sanctuary! When they were 28 weeks old I took them both to a BBQ at a very
"expensively decorated house" I set their bags, toys, and blankets next to my chair
of choice, within an about an hour of massive play time I found each of them in
their houses. I closed the doors and never heard a peep! It has been that pleasant
for me and my "Puppy Travels" ever since!

Once you have mastered the "Mobile Crate Training" Techniques you can use one
of my Reversible Snuggle Bug bags that triple as a Purse-Bed- or Tunnel. This
Fuzzy super fun bag has no cover so you must trust the dog completely. (Every
bag has a safety chain, but it is to be attached only in your presence!) Snuggle
Bug bags come with a matching blanket that you can lay in front of the bag for
additional space. The removable strap is great so you don't inadvertently give
the doggie a new chew toy!
You will also love using a My Pet Flys super soft pillow cover and/or a My
PetFlys over sized, crazy snugly blanket as additional mobile “safe places" your
dog will know is their own!....let's be honest, no one stays in one place....even
doggies! Not everyone wants a dog on the couch or bed as much as I do, or
sometimes at all!! I just pull out a clean, soft, stylish Pet Flys over sized blanket
and presto Koa and Kai are on the couch being hogged by my loved ones!
I will be honest you may find yourself wanting to share the blanket and pillow
or simply snagging it for yourself! We all love them at my house!
My Pet Flys bags are solid in construction for the ultimate in security,
with an edgy design on the front and a fun, soft easy to clean material on the inside! All
bags come with a matching "Pocket Blanket" and a matching removable pad
inside for easy cleaning! The pad moves so the bag can be used upright and on its
side (when used on the side they are approved for most in cabin airline travel).
They have an easy to use three option handle that convert to the size and style
that works best for you!

Here are some fun and easy tricks I used to teach my puppies how to " Go Potty
when and where I wanted" to "Travel in Style and Finesse" to "Go to their house/ bag when play time is Over". Tools for success; The products you will surly love and how to use them!
One Airline Approved Pet Flys Carrier for each small dog.....once your puppy has
learned the basics of "Mobile Crate Training" you can advance them to the
Snuggle Bug bag!... The Pet Flys carriers are solid all the way around so your
puppy will not get hurt in the hustle and bustle of travel! The matching pocket
blanket is perfect for those small dogs that get easily cold! i also use the blanket
to add space for my dog to play or if they need to lay on a spot that is not
typically for dogs. Like a friends couch or chair! (check out our over size, super
soft blankets that even you would want to lay on)
Use Pet Flys Monkey and Heart toys for teething and comfort! The small
monkey fits perfectly in a little puppies’ mouth! Each set comes with heart toys to
share! I use these all the time to help teach my dogs to not be territorial about his
toys. I found when you have toys to share that are of equal size, design and smell,
your dog will be less likely to show aggression towards people and animals when
they have anything in their mouth! When you go to a house that has other dogs,
bring a few extra hearts to share with the other dogs.
Find A good teething toy (plastic bone, rubber bone, and raw hide, something
that will last awhile)This toy is not to be shared! Use this toy to give your puppy
the freedom to chew when they want to, but more importantly on what you what
them to chew on! Do not introduce everything under the sun. Give each toy /
treat at least 3-5 days of effort before trying a different product. When you
find a winner use just this when "Mobile crate training". And most dogs will grow
attached to this item so make it his personal toy (When traveling keep it away
from other dogs and use it as a treat when it’s time to put the puppy in their
house!). I put a small dab of puppy paste or bacon grease on the toy every time I
put my dog in their house.
A good quality puppy paste. Small dogs are prone to shaking! This is not due to
fright or being cold as most people think. This is because all ot of activity and
anxiety lowers a little dogs’ blood level at a very rapid rate. Giving a small dog,
at any age puppy paste between meals is important because their metabolism is
so quick and the excitement of your travels lowers their blood sugar to a
dangerous point! You just put little dab on your finger tip, or the chew toy every
few hours (overall daily quantity is labeled on the tube) This tool is a great
bonding technique and training technique that works wonders! Use it to entice
them into their house or put it on the toy to distract them from chewing your
Aunts antique Grand Father Clock! Put a little on your friends & families fingers
when you introduce your puppy. This is a wonderful way to build up your puppies’
confidence in people and in strange new surroundings!
The amount of time needed for success!
The amount of time it takes to make this work is about 2 hours a day in the
house and at least 2 hours every other day out and about in different
surroundings. You should increase the time as you and your dog gets more
comfortable with the process.
Step 1 – introduction
Start by leaving the carrier in an area of the house that you have designated
for your dog. (Where you keep their bed)
• Leave the door closed until the dog has smelled the bag and is no longer
interested in it and has left the area.
• Zip and unzip the bag in front of your dog until the noise is no longer is an
issue.
• Open the door to the bag, put the treat of choice (with puppy paste or grease) in
the back of the bag for the puppy to find. Call the dog over and point out the
treat. They should be able to smell it pretty quickly. Do not hand the dog the
treat, let them retrieve it themselves Allow the puppy to pull it out of the bag if
they choice to and play with it for as long as they like…even if they only lick off
the good stuff. Do this 3-5 times a day for 2-3 days before you attempt to shut the
door. If your dog lays in the bag and chews the toy right away than try shutting
the door. If they freak out in anyway than give the dog more time to feel
comfortable with the bag.
Step 2: leaving your dog in the bag.
• when you feel the time is right, close the door. Keep the carrier close by you for
the first few days of introduction. The dog is not to feel abandoned, so don’t just
walk away and leave them. This is also important so you can give quick, precise
commands that will help in the future. If they start to whine or bark use the
command you’re going to use to tell them to be quiet. I use “shhh” with different
fluctuations in my voice depending on how noisy they are. I also talk to them
when they are in the bag so they don’t choose to cry when they hear your voice. It
is important not to let them dig in the bag. They can use the blanket to nest. But
keep an ear open for the sound of them digging on the floor. You must tell them
“no” so as they get bigger and stronger they do not ruin the bag. Or dig their way
out of it on an air plane for example.
• do this for 2-3 days, 3-5 times a day, at 30 min to an hour intervals. Even if they
seem happy and content do not leave a young puppy for over 2 hours. They could
go potty without you knowing it and you will have back track a bit. When you
take your dog out tell them to go potty, or take them to their potty spot and tell
them to “go”. This is a must for any age dog. It will teach them that the bag is not
a bathroom. If you did not get your dog from a kennel they should instinctively
not want to go in their bed. But if when you got your puppy and they smelled like
a hamster or you saw they were left to go potty in their area you will need to keep
a close eye out and slowly add time to each session.
Step 3: taking them out into the world
• put your dog in the carrier with the hard chew toy of choice. Throw a leash a
few soft toys (share toys also if the host has a dog) and puppy paste in a
bag….and go!!
• when you arrive at someone’s house bring your dog into the house in the carrier.
Put the carrier in a spot that you and your host agree upon. Put the soft toys of
choice in front of the bag before you open the bag. When you open the bag remove
the blanket and put it in front of the bag for additional space. (Let your dog go
explore a bit if they feel like it). Put a bit of puppy paste on the hard chew toy
and set it in the carrier. Bring or call your dog back to the designated area and
sit with them for a bit while they enjoy the treat. Do this a couple time during the
visit. If the dog is sleeping and no longer interested in the surroundings put them
in the carrier, close it up and let them rest. For the first few months of going out
on visits do not keep your dog on your lap. Always use the carrier or you will undo
your hard work.
• remember to show the dog where to go potty every time you open the carrier.
Even if you think they know.
That’s it……
Have fun with it!
